Kits

There are many kinds of emergencies and so there are many kinds of kits that can help you endure these
emergencies. What you need and what you have available just might depend on where you are when some emergency need
arises.
However, we will only detail three basic kits and the rest can be derived from one or more of those three.
Just take the contents of one of the Basic Emergency Kits and customize it to become one of the Specialized
Emergency Kits.
Three Basic Emergency Kits
72 Hour Emergency Kit - This is a kit that can provide for your
family to survive at least 72 Hours after many kinds of emergencies. Click

Auto Emergency Kit - This kit is designed to be in your auto
and besides some first aid concerns, its contents are geared toward being as safe as possible on the highway.

First Aid Kit - This kit is designed to assist a caregiver provide
first aid services in the event of a medical emergency. Click here for more info

Specialized Emergency Kits
To build one of the kits listed below, begin with one of the Basic Emergency Kits shown above and then customize
it to meet the needs of the special situations in which you may need it.
ATV - Use the Auto Emergency Kit as a base and then add other
things that are particular to keeping an ATV running safely.
Backpack - Use the First Aid Kit as a base and then remove items
and replace heavy items with lightweight items to make it suitable for backpacking.
Bicycle - Use the Auto Emergency Kit as a base and then add other
things that are particular to keeping a bicycle running safely.
Boat - Use the Auto Emergency Kit as a base and then add other
things that are particular to keeping a boat running safely.
Cabin - Use a mixture of the 72 Hour Emergency Kit and the First
Aid Kit and then customize them to contain things that may be special about a cabin.
Church - Use a mixture of the 72 Hour Emergency Kit and the First
Aid Kit and then customize them to contain things that may be special about a Church.
Daycare - Use a mixture of the 72 Hour Emergency Kit and the First
Aid Kit and then customize them to contain things that may be special about a Daycare.
Horseback - This kit will probably resemble the Backpack Kit shown
above with the exception that it could weigh more and that it would need to include supplies for the safety and
well being of the horse.
Industrial - Use the First Aid Kit as a base and then
customize it for the industrial environment.
Motorcycle - Use the Auto Emergency Kit as a base and then
add other things that are particular to keeping motorcycle a running safely.
Office - Use the First Aid Kit as a base and then customize it for
the office environment.
Pets and Livestock - Use a mixture of the 72 Hour Emergency Kit
and the First Aid Kit and then customize them to contain things that may be special about your pets and livestock.
Be sure to consider how you would transport your pets and livestock if an evacuation becomes necessary.
Recreational Vehicle - Since an RV is a home on wheels, this kit
should be based on all three Basic Emergency Kits.
School - Use a mixture of the 72 Hour Emergency Kit and the First
Aid Kit and then customize them to contain things that may be special about a School.
Wilderness Survival - This is a compact kit that is focused on
keeping people and animals alive during a wilderness survival situation. Use the First Aid Kit as a base and then
scale it way down with extra emphasis on keeping warm. Hint, that means to really improve your fire making
ability by using this kit.
